April 27, 2026 – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit presided over the opening of "Power Green Camp 21: Environmental Science Youth Camp." Held at the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies under the theme "One Health: The Science of Survival," the camp runs from April 27 to May 3, 2026. This collaborative effort between Banpu Public Company Limited and ENVI Mahidol invites high school students from across Thailand to explore environmental science through hands-on workshops and gain a deep understanding of the "One Health" concept, which connects human, animal, and environmental health. 

Participants will learn from experts across various fields through both theoretical and practical activities, including: 

Forest Therapy (Shinrin-yoku) practices. 

Environmental and Health field studies. 

Workshops on zoonotic diseases and the impact of PM 2.5 on mental health. 

Disaster management and on-site case studies in Kanchanaburi Province. 

Additionally, students will participate in the "Power Green Hack Project" under the topic "One Health: Science to Solve & Survive." This project aims to hone analytical thinking and teamwork, allowing youth to apply environmental science to solve systemic problems, preparing them to become eco-conscious leaders of change.


April 23, 2026 – The Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University (ENVI Mahidol), celebrated the achievements of its students at the "Mahidol Gen S: Together for Sustainability Season 2" event.

 

Organized by Mahidol University, the initiative provides a platform for students to showcase their creativity and storytelling skills regarding sustainability, equality, and the principle of "leaving no one behind," in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The winning works are featured on the We Mahidol channel. 

 

On this occasion, Ms. Apicha Thaithawee, a first-year student in the Environmental Science and Technology program, was awarded 3rd Place in the creative video contest under the theme "Creating an Equal Society: Leaving No One Behind." Her winning entry, titled "When Clean Air... Isn't for Everyone," reflected on environmental inequality and highlighted the ongoing challenge of accessing clean air in modern society—a critical issue that can be effectively addressed through creative communication.


April 9, 2026 – The Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, held an online orientation for the "Laboratory Auditor Development Project via Peer Evaluation." Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty, chaired the meeting and outlined the project's objectives to participants from various organizations. 

The project aims to equip personnel with comprehensive knowledge of laboratory safety standards and the skills required to serve as effective Peer Evaluation auditors. This initiative addresses the growing national demand for laboratory assessment and certification. The session covered project criteria, auditing methodologies, and preparations for both theoretical and practical training, encompassing the seven elements of laboratory safety and standardized auditing techniques. This effort focuses on building a regional network of auditors to elevate laboratory safety standards nationwide.


April 8, 2026 – The Dean and executives of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, extended a warm welcome to students under the Royal Scholarship Program as part of a higher education preparation initiative. The event took place at Lecture Hall 4224, Environmental Pattanadol Building. 

During the session, undergraduate student representatives shared their academic experiences and campus life insights to inspire and guide the visiting students who are interested in pursuing a career in environmental sciences.


ENVI Mahidol Welcomes World-Renowned Experts to Strengthen Academic Collaboration on Biochar for Resource Recovery and a Low-Carbon Future

13 February 2026, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Noppol Arunrat, together with faculty members and students, warmly welcomed Professor Eakalak Khan from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA, and Professor Daniel Tsang from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The visit was organized for a special lecture and discussions on future academic collaboration, with Professor Dr. Duangrat Inthorn serving as the main coordinator of the event.

The special lecture focused on environmental innovation, where both distinguished experts shared their expertise on the practical applications of Biochar in addressing environmental challenges. Key topics included resource recovery from wastewater in both terrestrial systems and space missions, as well as the use of biochar for soil remediation and decarbonization processes. These approaches were highlighted as crucial mechanisms for tackling global climate change challenges and advancing sustainable environmental management.

In addition, discussions were held on expanding international collaboration to create greater opportunities for students and staff. Proposed initiatives included student exchange programs, internships, and joint research projects between institutions. The visiting professors also expressed their willingness to host students for study visits and research placements in advanced laboratories abroad, further enhancing international learning experiences and academic capacity.

This visit marks an important starting point in building research networks and aligning academic interests between the Faculty’s researchers and international experts, with the shared goal of developing innovative solutions to environmental challenges at both local and global levels in a sustainable manner.
