Congratulations to our professors who published internationally in April 2024.

These include: Associate Professor Dr. Kanchana Nakhapakorn, for research on infections in cats and humans, as well as climate change in Krabi and Nakhon Si Thammarat; Associate Professor Sureewan Sittijunda, for work on adsorbents and biogas; and Assistant Professor Dr. Allan Sriratana Tabucanon, for explorations of water scarcity and flooding in the Chao Phraya River Basin.

 


Gold Medal for Research on UAV Spraying for Fruit Growth

The Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies would like to offer congratulations to Ajarn Dr. Rattana Boonprasert. He recently received a Gold Medal and certificate for work on using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) with automatic mixing systems and multiple propellers to promote fruit growth. 

Dr. Boonprasert also worked with Dr. Piyarat Wijaksangsit, an expert researcher in the Faculty of Agriculture at Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen campus. 

The Gold Medal was awarded in the invention and innovation category at the 2024 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention and Technology Exposition (IPITEx 2024). 

It was part of the "2024 Inventor's Day" event organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and held 2-6 February 2024 at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Center, in Bangkok.


Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2023

The Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies at Mahidol University would like to offer congratulations to three of our finest students – Miss Paphawarin Trong Pattanasilp, Miss Phakjira Kanchanawichanon, and Ms. Areeya Promahachai

 

The three Bachelor of Science program students (Department of Environmental Science and Technology) recently received the Bronze "Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2023"in the Geology and Environment category.

 

The award is organized by the Science Association of Thailand, under Royal Patronage.

 

Their work included a presentation of research entitled: “Late Holocene Mangrove Dynamics and Sea Level Changes, in Thailand’s Ranong Province.” Assistant Professor Dr. Paramita Phanwong was their advisor.

 

The research was featured at the 49th International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology-based Innovation (STT49); hosted 23-25 January 2024 by the Faculty of Science, at Prince of Songkla University, in Songkhla province.
