2 พฤษภาคม 2556 เวลา 13.00 น. บุคลากรและนักศึกษาจากทั้งภายในและภายนอกคณะสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เข้าร่วมการประชุมความร่วมมือระหว่าง "นักวิจัยคณะสิ่งแวดล้อมและทรัพยากรศาสตร์" กับ "ผู้แทนชุมชนเกาะลัดอีแท่น จ.นครปฐม" ประกอบด้วย คุณลือยศ บรรพกาญจน์ รองนายกเทศมนตรีเมืองไร่ขิง คุณเอกวิทย์ นวเศรษฐ สถาปนิกและเจ้าของคาเฟ่ MADI ณ ลัดอีแท่น จังหวัดนครปฐม Ms. Judy Mutziger นักอนุรักษ์และนักวิชาการอิสระ คุณปาริชาต สุนทรารักษ์ ผู้แทนสมาคมไทยท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์และผจญภัย (Thai Ecotourism And Adventure Travel Association: TEATA) ตลอดจนบุคลากรจากเทศบาลเมืองไร่ขิงและผู้แทนจากบริษัทท่องเที่ยวเอกชน 

On May 2, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., staff and students from both inside and outside the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies at Mahidol University attended a cooperation meeting between "Researchers at the Faculty of Environment and Resource Sciences" and "Representatives of Koh Lud E Tan Community, Nakhon Pathom Province." The attendees included Mr. Luyot Bunpakan, Deputy Mayor of Rai Khing; Mr. Ekawit Nawaset, architect and owner of MADi cafe and bistro in Nakhon Pathom Province; Ms. Judy Mutziger, conservationist and independent scholar; Ms. Parichat Suntararak, representative of the Thai Ecotourism And Adventure Travel Association (TEATA); personnel from Rai Khing Municipality; and representatives from private travel companies. At the meeting, there was a joint exchange of experiences and suggestions for community development along with sustainable environmental conservation. 

This included developing community areas along the Nakhon Chai Si River that suffer from flooding to be eco-tourism destinations by applying technology and alternative energy, as well as discussing the possibility of developing cooperation between the Koh Lud E Tan community and the team in restoring and preserving the community mangrove ecosystem. The meeting also discussed the possiblity to organize Outdoor Classroom activities, and knowledge exchange for the invention of clean energy innovations, as well as other Corporate Social Responsibility activities ranging from the development of environmentally friendly housing to promoting local culture to strengthen community businesses for sustainability. 

The meeting was organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noppol Arunrat, Assistant to the Dean for Policy, Planning and Knowledge Management, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukanya Sereenonchai, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, held at the Debhanom Muangman Meeting Room, Lecturer Jirasak Poonpol Building, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University.
