Congratulations

The MU Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies proudly congratulates Dr. Jakkapon Phanthuwongpakdee for earning funding to research invasive plants in Thailand. 

He and his co-researchers successfully earned the Strategic Research Fund (Starter) 2024 grant for their project entitled "Bio-energy Production from Invasive Plants in Thailand" (การผลิตพลังงานชีวภาพจากพืชรุกรานในประเทศไทย).

Congratulations

Congratulations to Assistant Professor Dr.Monthira Yuttitham and her team, for earning a grant from the National Research Council for the 2024 fiscal year.

 

Her research project is titled: "Studying the Fragility of the Mangrove Forest Ecosystem and Adaptation of Coastal communities – a Case Study of Huang Nam Khao Subdistrict and Laem Ngop Subdistrict, Trat Province."

 

Her department research team also includes: Professor Dr. Suvaluk Satumantpan, Associate Professor Dr. Paramita Punwong and Assistant Professor Dr. Kamalaporn Kanongdate.

 


Congratulations to our professors who published internationally in April 2024.

These include: Associate Professor Dr. Kanchana Nakhapakorn, for research on infections in cats and humans, as well as climate change in Krabi and Nakhon Si Thammarat; Associate Professor Sureewan Sittijunda, for work on adsorbents and biogas; and Assistant Professor Dr. Allan Sriratana Tabucanon, for explorations of water scarcity and flooding in the Chao Phraya River Basin.

 


Gold Medal for Research on UAV Spraying for Fruit Growth

The Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies would like to offer congratulations to Ajarn Dr. Rattana Boonprasert. He recently received a Gold Medal and certificate for work on using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) with automatic mixing systems and multiple propellers to promote fruit growth. 

Dr. Boonprasert also worked with Dr. Piyarat Wijaksangsit, an expert researcher in the Faculty of Agriculture at Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen campus. 

The Gold Medal was awarded in the invention and innovation category at the 2024 Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention and Technology Exposition (IPITEx 2024). 

It was part of the "2024 Inventor's Day" event organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and held 2-6 February 2024 at the BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Center, in Bangkok.
