ENVI Mahidol Awards Certificate to Student from IAESTE Germany Upon Internship Completion

29 September 2025) Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, awarded a Certificate to Ms. Bernice Boakye upon the completion of her internship. Ms. Bernice Boakye is a student in the field of Ecosystem Sciences who is of Ghanaian nationality and participated through IAESTE Germany. The internship was a technical training experience conducted under the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) Thailand 2025 project. The training period took place between August 1, 2025, and September 30, 2025.


ENVI Mahidol Explored Academic Collaboration with Curtin University, Australia

22 September 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Allan Sriratana Tabucanon, Deputy Dean for Education and International Relations, and Lecturer Dr. Praewa Wongburi, Assistant to the Dean for Policy, Planning, and International Relations, welcomed and held a meeting with Associate Professor Paul Nevill from the School of Molecular and Life Sciences (MLS), Faculty of Science and Engineering, Curtin University, Australia.
The discussion focused on exploring the potential for academic collaboration between the two universities, particularly at the undergraduate level in the fields of Environmental Science, Chemistry, Food Science, and Agriculture. The representatives from Curtin University expressed strong interest in developing a dual or double degree program, enabling students to pursue studies at both institutions.


Meanwhile, the Mahidol University representatives highlighted the distinctive features of their Environmental Science curriculum, emphasizing technology-oriented training for Thai students and natural resource management for international students, as well as addressing the challenges and opportunities of curriculum alignment.

Both parties agreed that an appropriate starting point for collaboration would be through student exchange programs or internships, which could later expand into dual-degree programs in the future.


ENVI Mahidol - Nagasaki University Discussed Future Collaboration

29 August 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Allan Sriratana Tabucanon, Deputy Dean for Education and International Relations, visited Nagasaki University.
They met with Professor Dr. Masaki Nagae, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Science, Professor Dr. Kazuaki Kawamoto, Dean of the Graduate School of Integrated Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Gregory Nishihara, Professor Dr. Hiroshi Asakura, and Professor Dr. Sunhee Suk to discuss future academic collaboration.
The discussions focused on research in coastal and marine environments, such as marine ecosystems, fisheries, and coastal disaster risk reduction. Both parties also explored the possibility of joint academic activities, including alternating symposiums and workshops between Japan and Thailand, as well as student exchange programs and study visits in both countries.


ENVI Mahidol Attended Closing Ceremony of the Transdisciplinary Summer School on the Environment and Best Presentation Award at Nagasaki University, Japan

29 August 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, delivered a congratulatory speech to the students at the certificate presentation and closing ceremony of the “Transdisciplinary Summer School on the Environment.”
The program, held from 7 July to 30 August 2025, combined online lectures, scientific laboratory internships, and field studies at Nagasaki University, Japan. Third-year students from the Bachelor of Science Program in Environmental Science and Technology and the Bachelor of Science Program in Natural Resources and Environmental Management (International Program) of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies participated in the program.

During the ceremony, the “Best Presentation Award” was granted to a student group for their outstanding presentation on the topic “Urakami River is Beautiful.” Among the award-winning members were Mr. Teerapat Patchim and Ms. Thanyarat Liwlumpow, students of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University.


ENVI Mahidol Explores Academic Collaboration with the University of Tokyo and Tokyo University of Agriculture

27 August, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit , Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Allan Sriratana Tabucanon, Deputy Dean for Education and International Relations, met with Professor Dr. Hiroyuki Katayama, Head of the Department of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, and Associate Professor Kiyo Kurisu to discuss potential academic collaborations. The executive team also met with representatives from the Faculty of Regional Environment Science, Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan, including Professor Dr. Machito Mihara, Vice President for International Affairs; Professor Dr. Akihito Endo, Deputy Director, Center for Global Initiatives; Professor Dr. Shinji Suzuki, Associate Dean; and Associate Professor Dr. Hijiri Shimojima, Department of Regional Regeneration Science. Discussions focused on the possibilities of developing institutional-level academic cooperation between the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies and Tokyo University of Agriculture as well as the Faculty of Regional Environment Science.


ENVI Mahidol International Program Joins Mahidol University International Undergraduate Program Guidance Fair at MUIDS

26 August, 2025 Bachelor of Science Program in Natural Resources and Environmental Management (International Program), Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, participated in the “Mahidol University International Undergraduate Program Guidance Fair” held at Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS).
