22 September 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Allan Sriratana Tabucanon, Deputy Dean for Education and International Relations, and Lecturer Dr. Praewa Wongburi, Assistant to the Dean for Policy, Planning, and International Relations, welcomed and held a meeting with Associate Professor Paul Nevill from the School of Molecular and Life Sciences (MLS), Faculty of Science and Engineering, Curtin University, Australia.
The discussion focused on exploring the potential for academic collaboration between the two universities, particularly at the undergraduate level in the fields of Environmental Science, Chemistry, Food Science, and Agriculture. The representatives from Curtin University expressed strong interest in developing a dual or double degree program, enabling students to pursue studies at both institutions.
Meanwhile, the Mahidol University representatives highlighted the distinctive features of their Environmental Science curriculum, emphasizing technology-oriented training for Thai students and natural resource management for international students, as well as addressing the challenges and opportunities of curriculum alignment.
Both parties agreed that an appropriate starting point for collaboration would be through student exchange programs or internships, which could later expand into dual-degree programs in the future.
