Under the cooperation framework, both organizations will work together to position Sam Phran Town Municipality as a pilot local administrative organization for low-carbon development.
Key activities will include conducting greenhouse gas emission surveys and preparing emissions inventories covering major sources such as energy consumption, transportation, solid waste management, and wastewater treatment.
The collaboration will also involve assessing greenhouse gas mitigation potential and developing area-based emission reduction plans aligned with local development strategies.
In addition, both organizations will undertake joint research, academic services, training programs, and technology transfer activities to strengthen the capabilities of municipal personnel, local communities, young people, and relevant partner networks.
This MOU represents another significant step in translating academic knowledge into practical local development initiatives.
By encouraging participation from government agencies, citizens, businesses, and local communities, the partnership seeks to support the transition toward carbon neutrality and promote sustainable low-carbon urban development.
