On 16 June 2026, Assistant Professor Dr. Jirataya Roemmontri, Associate Dean for Administration of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University (ENVI Mahidol), and Project Leader, presented the outcomes of the project entitled "Advancing Sanitary Pad Waste Management: Towards Sustainable Health and a Balanced Environment" at the KM for SDGs: Co-Creating MU Sustainability event. The event was held at the Grand Ballroom, Prince Mahidol Hall Conference and Parking Complex, Salaya, Mahidol University.
The project was supported under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Living Lab Funding 2025 initiative, which promotes innovative, campus-based solutions for sustainable development. The project aims to establish a systematic approach to sanitary pad waste management across the University, raise awareness of menstrual hygiene and environmental sustainability, and encourage active participation from the University community in reducing the environmental impacts associated with menstrual waste.
The presentation formed part of Mahidol University's knowledge-sharing platform on sustainable development, where faculties and departments showcased successful initiatives, best practices, and innovative solutions that contribute to advancing the University's sustainability agenda. The event also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and foster collaboration in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
