On 15 June 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, together with the Faculty's executive team, visited Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, for a study visit on Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE). The visit aimed to exchange knowledge and best practices in educational management that integrates academic learning with real-world workplace experience.
The study visit was organized to enhance the Faculty's understanding of CWIE curriculum management, strengthen collaboration with industry partners, and explore approaches to developing students' competencies in alignment with the evolving needs of industry and the future workforce.
During the visit, the delegation attended a presentation on the implementation of CWIE at Suranaree University of Technology. The session was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Arthit Koonsrisuk, Director of the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development, who shared the University's experience and best practices in managing cooperative education and work-integrated learning programs. Recognized as one of Thailand's leading higher education institutions in CWIE, Suranaree University of Technology has established a strong reputation for effectively integrating academic study with practical workplace experience.
The two institutions also exchanged ideas on curriculum development and strategies for strengthening partnerships with industry to enhance graduate quality and better prepare students to meet the demands of the future labor market.
This study visit represents another significant step in advancing the quality of education at the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University. The insights gained will support the Faculty's commitment to producing graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required for today's rapidly changing world, while further promoting educational innovation and sustainable development at both the national and international levels.
