On 4 June 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, together with Associate Professor Dr. Paramita Phanthong, Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Environment and Resource Studies (International Program), Professor Dr. Benjaporn Prapagdee, and faculty personnel, attended the Mahidol QD Champion Forum 2026. The event was organized to showcase best practices in curriculum quality development and to recognize academic programs that have achieved internationally accredited quality standards.
On this occasion, the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Environment and Resource Studies (International Program), Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, was honored with a certificate of recognition for achieving AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance) programme accreditation. As a leading international quality assurance framework established by the ASEAN University Network, AUN-QA recognizes academic programs that demonstrate excellence in curriculum management, teaching and learning, and learning outcomes in accordance with international standards.
The forum also featured "12 Stories of Transformative Excellence toward International Standards," presented by twelve outstanding academic programs from Mahidol University under the "1-1-1 Concept: 1 Practice | 1 Impact | 1 Idea." The program included a series of Lightning Talks and a Poster Exhibition, providing opportunities for participants to exchange knowledge and explore innovative approaches to educational quality enhancement across the University.
Receiving AUN-QA accreditation marks another significant milestone for the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University. The achievement reflects the Faculty's commitment to developing internationally recognized academic programs while producing highly qualified graduates, researchers, and environmental leaders equipped to contribute to sustainable development at both the national and international levels.
