On May 18, 2026, the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies at Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Environmental Education Executives Network, hosted the "ENVI Symposium 2026." Held in a hybrid format, the symposium served as a dynamic platform for undergraduate and graduate students to present their environmental research projects. The event successfully fostered knowledge exchange and strengthened academic collaboration among various educational institutions. The opening ceremony was led by Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty, with Assistant Professor Dr. Arant Sriatana Tabucanon, Deputy Dean for Education and International Relations, delivering the welcome and objectives report to an audience of executives, faculty members, researchers, and students.
The symposium marked a milestone as the inaugural event for the network, bringing together participants from five faculties across four leading institutions. These included Mahidol University's Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Srinakharinwirot University's Faculty of Environmental Culture and Ecotourism, Mahasarakham University's Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, and Prince of Songkla University’s Faculty of Environmental Management and Faculty of Technology and Environment (Phuket Campus). A total of 45 research projects were presented both onsite and online, showcasing diverse academic insights from the next generation of environmental scientists.
The presentations covered critical areas of environmental science and sustainable development, such as greenhouse gas and carbon footprint management, natural resources and ecology, environmental technology, biomaterials and waste management, and environmental assessment and communication. This symposium not only enhanced the students' research capabilities and enabled them to share knowledge with the public, but it also played a vital role in driving future environmental solutions and academic excellence for long-term sustainability.
