On July 8, 2026, the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies at Mahidol University welcomed Professor Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., President of Mahidol University, and Associate Professor Dr. Vichita Ractham, Vice President for Corporate Communication and Image, on the occasion of filming the program “Khui Kan Chan Mit.” The program highlighted the faculty’s vital role in driving environmental research, knowledge, and practical innovations that serve society. Associate Professor Dr. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Dean of the Faculty, participated in a discussion on integrating education and research for sustainable solutions, with a focus on tackling PM2.5 air pollution. During the visit, the executive team toured the faculty’s air quality monitoring station and observed a hands-on practical session in the "Water Quality Analysis" course, where students gained real-world professional skills using advanced analytical instruments to detect pollutants.
Additionally, the program team viewed presentations on key research innovations, including “Envi Nose”—a compact air quality detector that combines engineering and statistical models to enhance measurement accuracy and forecasting. They were also introduced to the “Red Flag Dust Warning Project,” a community-level initiative that simplifies complex air quality data into clear warning symbols, allowing the public to quickly assess PM2.5 health risks and take preventive action. This visit showcases the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies' leadership in environmental education and research, demonstrating its strong commitment to delivering tangible benefits to society.
