24 July 2026, the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University welcomed delegates from the School of Social Sciences, Henan Normal University (HNU), People's Republic of China, and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for an academic visit and study tour at the Satra Methee Dr. Pongpit Piyapong Conference Room, Badhanatala Environment Building, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Noppol Arunrat, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, delivered the welcome remarks, introduced the Faculty's academic staff, and joined the delegates for a commemorative group photograph, reaffirming the strong relationship and fostering academic collaboration between the participating institutions.
The program featured a presentation by Dr. Jakkapon Phanthuwongpakdee, who provided an overview of Mahidol University and the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, highlighting the Faculty's academic programmes, research achievements, and strategic directions. This was followed by a special lecture by Dr. Achiraya Chaichaloempreecha on the topic, "Sustainability in Action: From Thailand's Climate Targets to Mahidol's Net-Zero Campus," which showcased Thailand's climate ambitions and Mahidol University's initiatives toward achieving a Net-Zero Campus.
Following the presentations, the delegates joined a guided tram tour of Mahidol University to explore the campus environment, learning facilities, and sustainable campus management practices. The visit served as a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen academic partnerships, and enhance research collaboration between the participating institutions at the international level.
