15 January , 2025, at 1:00 PM, Assistant Professor Dr. Allan Sriratana Tabucanon, Deputy Dean for Education and International Relations, along with Dr. Jakkapon Phanthuwongpakdee and Dr. Tatiya Siripongpreda, Lecturers at the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, welcomed academic members from the Institute for Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, People's Republic of China, including Dr. Yimeng Zhang, Dr. Ruiyong Zhang, and Dr. Richard Wang, Executive Director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Innovation Cooperation Center Bangkok (CASICCB). The visit aimed to introduce the overall operations of the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as research and technology related to Bioleaching and Biocorrosion. During the meeting, discussions were held on the possibility of developing research cooperation, particularly on topics such as Marine Corrosion, and the exchange of faculty members and students under scholarships from the Chinese government, such as the China Scholarship Council (CSC), CAS-ANSO Scholarship, and CAS PIFI (President's International Fellowship Initiative). The meeting took place in Meeting Room 4, coordinated by the Global Partnerships Division, Mahidol University.
