Description

International training project, course on sustainable waste management according to the principles of the circular economy, through the Zoom program, held between 7 - 23 August 2023. There were 143 people interested in applying to join the project, with 143 people passing the program. According to the specified criteria, that is, attend online training for not less than 80 percent of the total training period. Therefore received an online certificate. There were a total of 41 people from 18 countries.

Provides an understanding of the principles of waste management and emerging issues related to waste management and climate change.

Implementation
Short-term international training courses via Zoom include:
Teaching topics of the training course total 19 topics and presentation of country reports. Country reports from trainees in various countries are presented.

Performance
  1. A total of 41 people attended the training from 18 countries: Bhutan, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guatemala, Guyana, Iraq, Kenya, Maldives, Mongolia, Morocco, Nigeria, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Trinidad and Tobago.
  2. Evaluation of lecturers on 19 topics. All evaluation results were at a very high level.
  3. Overall project evaluation The evaluation results were at a very high level. has an average of 4.76 or 95.21 percent


Utilization
Participants can use the knowledge from the training to develop waste and wastewater management in their countries correctly and appropriately. Help reduce cross-border impacts caused by improper waste and wastewater management, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions from wastewater waste management that affect climate change. Reduce the problem of plastic waste leaking into the sea and microplastics contaminating the environment.

Differences or uniqueness that is different from other projects

Training participants exchanged knowledge about waste and wastewater management methods in Thailand and other countries. Including gaining knowledge about current laws, regulations, and waste disposal policies. and wastewater management in Thailand and from the countries participating in the training

Impacts at the community, country, and global levels
