Description

Training program aimed at educating youth and educational personnel through study visits to natural resources and environments outside their field. The program facilitates the exchange of experiences and knowledge through projects and project activities related to natural resources and the environment among students and educational personnel. A total of 45 participants will be involved in the project, with a training period of 4 days scheduled between April 3 and April 6, 2023.

MU-SDGs Case Study Content

Project Objectives and Importance:
In order to enhance the quality of education, the project aims to utilize 'good relationships between teachers and students' and 'educational personnel networks' as tools for driving knowledge enhancement. The objectives include creating awareness (literacy) about the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (2020 Sustainability Development Goals: SDGs) and fostering cooperation for sustainable development. Another key objective is to translate the gained knowledge into practical application

Operation

Key activities of the project include:
Learning and practical exercises on the following topics:
SDGs 12: Waste management
SDGs 13: "Reduce global warming, sleep comfortably"
SDGs 15: "Khao Yai" World Heritage Forest Outdoor learning in the nature classroom at Training Center 2 (Khao Yai), Nakhon Nayok Province, and Khao Yai National Park, as well as at the EGAT Learning Center, Lam Takhong, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and presentations of group projects on environmental science. All these activities aim to raise awareness (literacy) about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (2020 Sustainability Development Goals: SDGs) and promote collaboration for sustainable development. The ultimate goal is to apply the acquired knowledge in practical situations.

Operation Results
Results of the Environmental Science Group Project Competition: First Place: Black Snow Team from Chaloem Phrakiat Somdet Phra Srinagarindra School, Kanchanaburi 1st Runner-Up: Alien Species Team from Bang Saphan Witthaya School 2nd Runner-Up: PPT2 Green Save Team from Phra Pathom Wittayalai 2 School, Luang Phor Ngern Anusorn Honorable Mention: Team Sue Soom Chao Toranee from Chulabhorn Rajavidyalaya Science School, Pathum Thani. Change World Together Team from Ubonratana Rajakanya Rajavidyalaya School, Phatthalung. Team Zero Waste T.P. from That Phanom School. Satisfaction Evaluation: 93.40 percent

Utilization
Youth and educational personnel had the opportunity to exchange viewpoints and opinions, strengthening the network of educational personnel. They were able to apply their knowledge about natural resources and the environment in practical settings, contributing to the development of issues related to natural resources. The utilization rate was 93.18 percent.
