Research Interests

  1. Carcinogenicity/mutagenicity-driven molecular mechanisms and potential targets responsible for carcinogenic heavy metals and environmental mutagens.
  2. Development of bioassays and genotoxicity tests using cell-based techniques for early detecting and biomonitoring toxic chemicals in environment.
  3. Screening and characterization of bioactive compounds from medicinal plant extracts exerting beneficial properties of anti-aging, anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, DNA repair-stimulating, anti-microbial for use in pharmaceutical, food, and cosmaceutical products.
  4. Genetically-engineered improvement of high-temperature growth yeast strains with superior properties for application in biofuel-and feed-industries.
